ANT-1776ZBAI Miniature AI Video Encoder

The ANT-1776ZBAI is a high-performance H.265/H.264 miniature AI video encoder designed for demanding embedded applications within the defence, military, UAV, robotics, subsea and aerospace sectors.

Featuring an integrated Hailo-8 AI accelerator, the ANT-1776ZBAI enables real-time edge AI processing alongside ultra-low latency video encoding. The platform supports YOLOv5 object detection as standard, with the option to migrate to YOLOv8 where required.

Flexible Multi-Camera Support

The ANT-1776ZBAI supports a wide range of video input configurations, including:

  • 2 × LVDS
  • 1 × LVDS + 1 × CVBS
  • 1 × LVDS + Camera Link + USB 3.0
  • 2 x USB-C + LVDS + CVBS
  • SPI camera interfaces (integration required)

The platform has been developed for compatibility with a variety of industry-leading camera modules, including:

  • Sony FCB-EV7520
  • Sony FCB-EV9520L
  • Sony FCB-EV9500
  • Tenum 640
  • FLIR Boson
  • FLIR Lepton

Ultra-Low Latency Encoding & Decoding

In addition to video encoding, the ANT-1776ZBAI features an integrated HDMI output, allowing the board to operate as either:

  • A local video display output
  • A dedicated hardware decoder

When paired with another ANT-1776ZBAI, the system can deliver hardware-to-hardware latency of approximately 100 ms. Alternatively, video can be decoded using Antrica’s ultra-low latency software player, available for Windows, Linux and Android.

Robust IP Streaming

Designed for operation across both wired and wireless IP networks, the ANT-1776ZBAI supports:

Rugged for Harsh Environments

Engineered for deployment in demanding environments, the ANT-1776ZBAI has been tested in accordance with MIL-STD-810G and operates across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for military, defence, subsea, industrial and unmanned vehicle applications.

Firmware Feature Description
Selective Recording & Recording Segmentation Automatically split recorded video into manageable file segments, making it quick and easy to locate footage by date, time or event without searching through large continuous recordings.
Dynamic Encoding & Adaptive Bit Rate Configure a predefined profile table that allows the encoder to automatically adjust video resolution and bitrate in real time based on radio signal strength (RSSI). Working alongside compatible radios, this ensures the most stable video possible as network conditions change. Video settings can also be adjusted manually on the fly without interrupting the stream.
ONVIF Discovery Enables automatic ONVIF discovery and integration with leading Video Management Systems (VMS), simplifying installation and deployment within security and surveillance environments.
AES Encrypted Recording Securely record video using AES encryption, protecting sensitive footage from unauthorised access.
Text & Graphics Overlay Overlay custom text, timestamps, mission data, graphics or other information onto live or recorded video.
NTP Time Synchronisation Synchronise system time across multiple devices using Network Time Protocol (NTP).
Raw Video Recording via USB-C Capture uncompressed RAW video directly to USB-C storage for AI training and post-processing.
IP Transcoding Decode incoming IP streams and re-encode them into RTSP for interoperability.
Local HDMI Decode Output Decode IP video streams locally and output directly via HDMI.
00.82 Encoding & Transcoding Encode into the 00.82 protocol or transcode existing 00.82 streams into H.264/H.265 RTSP.
WebRTC Ultra-low latency browser-based video streaming without plugins.
AI Selective Streaming (Hailo-8 only) AI-powered object-focused streaming to reduce bandwidth while maintaining situational awareness.
Multi-Stream Video Processing Simultaneously encode, decode and stream multiple video channels.
Low Latency Streaming Optimised H.264/H.265 pipeline for real-time video transmission.
Forward Error Correction (FEC) Improves resilience over unreliable wireless and RF links.
